Born in Mexico City, 1956. He received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in Chemical Engineering in 1980 from the National University-UNAM. He specialized on the designing and exploitation of scientific & technical online databases at System Development Corp., DIALOG Information Services and the University of London from 1981-1983.
He served as co-editor of four international indexes of periodical literature (BIBLAT, CLASE, PERIODICA and ASFA-ASFIS) 1984-1988.
