Daniel P. Sheerin is a career Civil Service employee who started working for the U.S. Department of State in 1981. He currently serves as Deputy Chief of the eDiplomacy Office's Diplomatic Innovation Division. In this capacity, Mr. Sheerin is responsible for developing innovative diplomatic practices supported by advantageous technology, especially in regards to the State Department's collaboration with its international diplomatic partners, including other nations' diplomats and diplomatic institutions, as well as non-governmental and business representatives and related organizations involved in diplomatic issues and agendas.
