The residential block has a higher density with building orientation being organic and access being intertwined narrowly between the volumes. Kaloleni has a fine grained urban fabric which resulted from the self generated growth. The fabric itself is al- so not imposed and gives the notion of no order to the naked eye. The volumes weave in and out of the undu- lating landscape giving it the most adaptable nature to its environment. The fabric shows the changing need made by the society themselves which is functional even if it is not geometrically appealing.
