I was raised by my grandparents and I miss them everyday. They taught me right from wrong and continually reminded me of the importance of education. It is a lesson that I have never forgotten.
Growing up in rural areas I was accustomed to small thinking and a general lack of upward mobility. Somehow I managed to get into a good public boarding school and will soon graduate from NC State! I look forward to future permanent employment and eventually going to graduate school.
I love history, politics and current events and while I am not quite sure where my life will take me, I know that my passion for these subjects will be my continual pursuit. I believe that it takes hard work
