I have been a researcher and community advocate on diverse issues related to health and social justice.聽I believe that in order to promote health for all people in all places, we must be able to identify health disparities, build聽community capacity for health promotion, and push for聽data-driven policies that promote well-being. Proudly raised in K膩ne驶ohe, O鈥榓hu, I went on to receive a聽B.S. in Biology, Genetics and Development from聽Cornell University, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Hawai驶i at M膩noa, where I am currently a doctoral student in Epidemiology.
