I have, at various times, raced motorcycles and saloon cars, been a race mechanic, a road test editor for various UK motorcycle magazines, a motoring writer, a photographer, a journalist, designer, creative director, design agency owner and award winning designer, writer and lecturer. I spent 28 years living and working abroad, of which the last 20 have been as a designer and educator. After owning my own design agency in London for eight years, I decided to head back to New Zealand, where I worked on national newspapers as a front of section designer.
