I carry a banner that says: LOVE YOUR DONORS. I know that sounds weird. It's my thing. I do it because I know -- I know from years of experience -- that the nonprofits that love their donors raise a lot more money. I want that to happen.
I've been active in fundraising for more than 25 years, and LOVE YOUR DONORS is the most important thing I know about my profession.
