With Kuya Janno, Ate Kyla and Mama

EEKA WAS BORN TO A BIG FAMILY

With aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings & parents

She is the 9th among 10 children

and the youngest of 3 daughters

Because Eeka received much love from this big family鈥� SHE HAD SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE

Eeka hero-worshipped her Ate Claudia

Eeka is adventurous In November 2007, with brothers, cousins and friends

She enjoyed the trek and the falls at SAGADA鈥� And she was thrilled by the caving experience

Eeka LOVED THE WATER LOVED THE WATER

She even jumped into 15-20 feet deep sea!

H And she swam without a life vest

Eeka had fun jumping from the rocks to the pool of water near the falls鈥�

EEKA LOVED the WATER The same WATER THAT TOOK HER AWAY from her family and friends

Let us all remember Eeka as鈥�

She plays the guitar and sings well

She is that meek girl鈥� quiet but has a lot running on her mind all the time鈥�

She has the gift of making everyone feel loved鈥� With her famous hugs.. her comforting words鈥� and her reassuring smile鈥�

Lori Chamorro, former SunLife agent, wrote the following poem for Eeka upon hearing the shocking news about her demise.

TO ZULAIKA, AN ANGEL PASSING BY (Oct 31,1992-Aug 16,2008)

You stood beside me, just a breath away 鈥� A cuddly little girl, a daughter I pined for but could never have鈥� Your fair, almost luminous face with black, gentle Oriental eyes Calmed the frenzied August Champion air With such loveliness and tenderness, Refreshing, cool waters from a tranquil sea Seemed to kiss and wrap me In the peak of a scorching summer day.

You sat beside your mom, no word, no sigh. A quiet spirit 鈥� unobtrusive yet captivating. Your short, shiny black hair, Korean bangs Carefully falling on your forehead Framed and set off your porcelain-white innocent face. Your Nanny beckoned and you had to say good-bye. So I waved at you and you waved back with a faint, shy smile. I half-whispered to myself: There鈥檚 an angel passing by

Many frenzied Augusts came and went And life鈥檚 tricky waters, with their joys and tears, Splashed and faded faces and names. But on a day this August, you suddenly came back to me From fragments of stories and snapshots pieced together,
