I am the Area/Global Distribution Planner for Drilling Tools and Remedial segment of Schlumberger, world's number one Oil & Gas services provider. In this role I lead the segment's distribution strategies, overseeing a team of three customer service professionals and managing the annual spend. Our most exciting work to date was setting up a distribution service center to service Middle East, Asia and Russia & Central Asia which is managed by 3PL. Our setup of distribution center was key to bring the products closer to the field location in order to shorten the lead times and provide better service levels to the field so the field inventory levels are kept at lowest levels.
