The Commission, an independent statutory body under the President of the Republic of Indonesia, was mandated by the Act (UU) No 5 / 2014 on State Civil Service (Aparatur Sipl Negara / ASN) enacted on January 15, 2014. Its main purpose is to ensure the implementation of Merit System in the State Civil Service environment, both in the Central as well as Local Government, as well as monitoring and controlling the correct practices of the Civil Service basic norms, code of ethics and code of conducts.
