I am currently developing genetic approaches to characterize the reproductive biology, adaptation and diversity distribution of tropical fruit or timber tree species from tropical Africa in order to propose biodiversity management and conservation strategies in a global perspective. I also coordinate the SAFORGEN network which focuses on the study of forest genetic resources in sub-Saharian zones.
During my PhD and post-doctoral activities, I studied the mechanisms of diversification that drive the evolution (speciation, species genetic differentiation) of tropical species particularly in relation to climate changes.
