Born and raised in Idaho, exchange student to Japan, University of Idaho undergrad, Southern Methodist University grad in theatre, Ph.D. from the Union Institute in higher education administration. I've taught at Kennesaw State University and State University of New York at New Paltz. Spent a year as an American Council on Education fellow on the campus of Berry College. Married. One son, who is an aspiring writer, political maven, and a genius (if I do say so myself!)
