About 1.5 million people in Ontario (thats 13.5% of the population) have a disability.
Nearly 40% of people over the age of 65 have disabilities. Seniors and people with disabilities will represent 20 to 25% of the Canadian recreation, retail, entertainment, workplace and housing marketplaces in the next ten years and beyond.Access Infinity Management5Economic Impact

AODA Standards  (In Development)The AODA The Ontarians with Disabilities Act  (2005) mandates that all public spaces serving the public must be accessible by the year 2025.The responsibility to make the changes rests with businesses operating in Ontario.  Municipalities and public sector entities (ie. Hospitals, Universities)  are required to engage in both short-term and long term planning already as they were mandated to do so by ODA (2001)Access Infinity Management7Whose Responsible?
 Individual Businesses ARE responsible for making there spaces and services accessible.Common Misconception:I dont own I rent so its the landlords responsibility.  WRONG
