Being an IT professional graduated from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, I have had a great run with various management principles and strategic utilization of the same for better productivity of the workforce and growth of an organization. However, it took me a whole different industry—where I was able to further amass a wide variety of skill sets that range from copy editing, proofreading, typesetting and editing to even customer service—to find my true calling as a marketing professional.
It was during my formative years that I worked in the publishing industry that helped me understand closer how marketing has been evolving and becoming one of the most defining aspects.
