About
My research focuses on the ecology of "new" media technologies (e.g., mobile technologies, AR/VR, video games). I look at the ways people interact with "new" media so I can understand the best uses of technology, and conversely, inform design principles.
Currently, I am a Doctoral Candidate in Media and Communication at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. I am a faculty member at Penn State University (Brandywine campus), where I am an instructor for courses in Communication and Statistics.
My dissertation is a mixed-methods study of preadolescent user's intrinsic motivation and sense of (tele)presence as they engage in video game play (Minecraft).
