Marc Da Silva speaks to Trevor Abrahmsohn, founder of north London based Glentree International, who was
recently presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Spear's Wealth Management Awards.


For almost 40 years, he has been selling homes in Bishops Avenue in north London, otherwise referred to as
Billionaire's row', where he has sold 129 houses. But Glentree's founder is now preparing for the biggest deal of
his life; a unique Grade II listed private residence, originally constructed in 1910 for William Park Lyle of the Tate
& Lyle family, which is on the market at an asking price of 贈100m.

Where is your firm selling new homes? We sell in the prime and super-areas of north London, including Mill
Hill, Totteridge, Kenwood, Hampstead, Highgate and St Johns Wood. We sometimes also operate across Central
London, wherever luxury, high-end developments are to be found.
What types of properties are on offer? Affordable apartments of up to 贈500,000 to luxury mansions up to
贈100m!
How much does a new home cost to buy? This will depend on its facilities, location and the market it is
destined for but, as a generalisation, the start level would be around 贈600,000 going upward to anywhere around
贈100m.
What makes a new home stand out from the crowd? Invariably it is luxury in a contemporary context with
state of the art facilities, instant gratification and instant lifestyle. For the ecologists an environmentally and
energy efficient entity is always of interest.
Have you noticed any particular buying trends recently? In North West London, three-bedroom apartments,
for downsizers and for those with small families, are the most desirable properties with one-bedroom apartments
probably the most undesirable with their narrow market and narrow rental possibilities. The rental ability of a new
home is nearly always uppermost in peoples' minds.
Is your company currently offering any incentives or discounts to homebuyers? In North West London, at
the moment, new developments are so rare at the best of times that we do not need to offer incentives.
Which new homes development potentially offers the best property investment prospects? Those
featuring three-bedroom homes as they can be rented out most easily. The new homes sector attracts the widest
market interest.
What is Glentree Estates' USP? Glentree offers a personalised service. We are there when a person needs us
and not when they do not. We believe we can close a deal better than others and we have an intrinsic
understanding of the market, market forces and why people do what they do.
Have any of your clients ever won a What House? Award? Absolutely, many of them have won a What
House? Award, including, Octagon, Barratt and Berkeley Homes to mention just a few.
