Melania Amorim, MD, PhD, is an obstetrician, a university lecturer and researcher. She received her MD degree from UFPB - Brazil (1989) and finished her medical residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at IMIP - Brazil (1992). She obtained her MSc degree from IMIP (1995) and her PhD from the University of Campinas 鈥� Unicamp - Brazil (1998). She recently did her post-doctoral work in the Unicamp (2010) with a sandwich post-doctoral fellowship in the World Health Organization 鈥� WHO - Switzerland (2009).
