Scholar Ambassador Information Presentation

The Kauffman Scholar Ambassador Program trains select scholars to serve as community leaders, mentors, and representatives. As an ambassador, scholars would mentor younger students, assist with programming, and represent the Kauffman Scholars through media. Ambassadors receive a stipend, apparel, and professional development training opportunities. The program requires a 3.0 GPA and involvement in school and community activities. Training topics include leadership, entrepreneurship, and public speaking. Interested scholars should apply by August 26th.

Two students who were ambassadors at their undergraduate institution believed such a program could benefit applicants. The program started without a budget, as ambassadors purchased their own shirts and snacks. Over time, a membership fee was implemented to fund materials and activities. The program now has 163 student members, making it one of the most popular at the school. Mission : The Kauffman Scholars Ambassador Program is an elite program designed to prepare and equip select Scholars with the skills necessary to serve, grow, and lead as community activists, entrepreneurs, peer-leaders, representatives, civic philanthropists, mentors, and life long learners.

- 4. What do they do? Serve as a mentor for younger scholars Participate in Professional Development trainings Assist KSI with the planning and implementation of certain programming Represent Kauffman Scholars through Radio, TV, Newspaper, etc.
