I started my career in public broadcasting at the VRT (Flemish Broadcaster) as an application engineer in charge of the television post production unit and joined the VRT Medialab later on. Fascinated by applied research and with a natural talent to lead large teams successfully, I managed several large-scale research projects on media adaption, multichannel publication formats, media exchange formats and media system integration and I co-authored scientific publications that were presented at international conferences.
