The Three Rivers Regional Commission (TRRC) is a regional planning organization made up of 10 counties in Georgia that provides various services to local governments and communities, including aging services, workforce development, transportation and transit planning, and local/regional planning. It aims to improve the quality of life in the region. The TRRC works with senior centers, adult day cares, job training programs, technical colleges, and local governments on issues like economic development, disaster mitigation, and grant writing.
2. The Three Rivers Regional Commission (TRRC )is a regional planning organization created
and managed under Georgia law by its member local governments. As a quasi-
governmental agency, TRRC essentially develops, promotes, and provides comprehensive
planning and development services and technical assistance that seek to make the local
communities in its region better places to live and work.

3. TRRC Service Overview
As a regional planning commission, TRRC works with local governments in areas
such as:
Aging Services
The Aging program is a preventative care program to help senior citizens, as well as their
caregivers, live healthy lives within each community.
The Aging program provides funding to area senior centers, adult day care, meals at home
services, and in group settings it provides caregiver support, transportation, senior job training,
health screenings, etc.

Workforce Development (Govt. Services Division)
The Workforce program trains citizens for jobs within the region, and works with area businesses
to develop talent. The workforce program has offices in Carrollton, Griffin, LaGrange, and
Newnan.
Workforce training is provided through partnerships with area technical colleges, private training
providers, youth service and training providers, and industry sector partnerships.

As a regional planning commission, TRRC works with local governments in areas
such as:
Transportation and Transit (Govt. Services Division)
The TRRC works with area governments to support transportation planning activities, and supply
relevant data or representation to ensure local priorities are identified. The TRRC transit
program provides 300,000 human services and/or public transit trips within the 10 county
region. The TRRC also provides mobility management planning and coordination to create
mobility options for area citizens.

Local/Regional Planning
The TRRC planning department works with area governments to produce or refine local
comprehensive plans, transportation plans, land use planning, economic development studies,
provide GIS services or data, create disaster mitigation plans, and grant writing and
administration.
