This document is an internship report submitted by Yiteng Dang to the cole Normale Sup辿rieure on applying mean-field theory to study charge density waves in rare-earth nickelates. Chapter 1 provides theoretical background, discussing concepts like density of states calculations, the nearly free electron model, mean-field theory applied to ferromagnetism and antiferromagnetism, and Green's functions. Chapter 2 focuses on nickelates, introducing a low-energy two-orbital Hamiltonian and applying mean-field theory to obtain results like a phase diagram at half-filling and quarter-filling. Numerical methods are used throughout to solve problems in condensed matter theory.
WPF allows building desktop and browser-based applications using XAML and a unified programming model. It provides features like a declarative UI, support for Windows and browsers, visual and logical trees, media/animation effects, 3D integration, and digital ink. The architecture uses the CLR, Presentation Foundation, Presentation Core, and DirectX. Tools include the .NET Framework, Windows SDK, Expression Blend, and Visual Studio. Pros include ease of use, rich interfaces, performance, and .NET reuse, while cons include a learning curve and loose coupling with DirectX. Opportunities exist for interactive UIs, user experience, web components, and faster development.

This document discusses power presses. It provides classifications of presses based on their mechanism, function, structure, and controllability. The main types are mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic presses. It also describes the construction and working of gap frame presses, including their components like the flywheel, clutch, brakes, and ram. Cutting operations performed by presses include blanking, piercing, notching, and perforating. Forming operations change the contour through bending and drawing. Safety measures for presses include bi-manual controls and light sensors.
This document discusses various techniques for en masse space closure and tooth movement. It describes 3 methods for closing extraction space: anterior retraction alone, a combination of anterior retraction and posterior protraction, and posterior protraction alone. It also discusses T-springs, including their force characteristics and how to preactivate them. Different mechanics are described for moving anterior and posterior teeth together versus separately.

HOW to measure CBCT BEFORE AND AFTER MID PALATAL SUTURE OPENING Hawa Shoaib
油
This document discusses how to measure changes in the mid palatal suture before and after opening using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). It describes the five stages of maturation of the mid palatal suture and how a radiographic analysis can detect differences in bone density during maturation. CBCT allows accurate visualization and analysis of the three-dimensional shape and position of hard tissues before and after rapid palatal expansion. Linear and angular measurements can be made and superimposed on CBCT images taken at different times to evaluate treatment progress and stability.

Bonding and banding................/certified fixed orthodontic courses by In...Indian dental academy
油
This document discusses bonding and banding techniques used to attach orthodontic brackets and appliances to teeth. It covers the anatomy of teeth and how that impacts whether bonding or banding is preferred. Banding involves using preformed metal bands cemented around teeth, while bonding attaches brackets directly to the tooth surface using adhesives. Banding provides better protection of teeth and resistance to forces but can increase arch length. Bonding avoids adding width but leaves more tooth surface exposed and attachments can be harder to remove. The document examines the pros and cons of each approach and their appropriate applications based on tooth type and forces expected.

It also outlines steps for creating a generic scenario using these Web 2.0 tools, from planning a lesson idea to finding supporting materials online to implementing and sharing the scenario.
The use of the new information and communication technologies (ICTs) has speedily increased during the last 20 years. They have led us to a new global citizenship, a new way of thinking and even a new way of behaving, which have influenced all knowledge fields, including education. As a matter of fact, UNESCOs ICT Competency Standards for Teachers (2008) recently pointed out that both students and teachers must utilize technology effectively in order to live, learn, and work successfully in an increasingly complex, information-rich and knowledge-based society. Students have new ways to access information and learn; they have naturally developed cognitive skills that make the use of digital technology much easier. Thus, they are called the net generation or 'digital natives', people who have grown up with technology, mainly Internet (Prensky, 2001). Consequently, teachers have to develop digital competences to satisfy the demands of that new generation. Making the teaching-learning process more effective, interesting, dynamic, updated and adapted to the new learning times is a must for us. This presentation will offer an overview of digital literacy and a basic training on powerful Web 2.0 tools (blogs, wikis, podcasts, social networking, etc) to enhance the ELT teaching practice.

AI chatbots use generative AI to develop answers from a single interaction. When someone asks a question, the chatbot responds using a natural language process (NLP). Agentic AI, the next wave of artificial intelligence, goes beyond this by solving complicated multistep problems on its way by using advanced reasoning and iterative planning. Additionally, it is expected to improve operations and productivity across all sectors.
This is session #3 of the 5-session online study series with Google Cloud, where we take you onto the journey learning generative AI. Youll explore the dynamic landscape of Generative AI, gaining both theoretical insights and practical know-how of Google Cloud GenAI tools such as Gemini, Vertex AI, AI agents and Imagen 3.
