- 1. 20K House What is the $20K House? Contact Neufert? Thats a Weird Word! Neufert is a European book that graphically demonstrates architectural dimensions. For the non- Europeans in the audience, here in America you might have seen Architectural Graphic Standards before. Some people call these books the architectural bibles. We are not here to push the religion of Neufertism but we would like to talk about how great of a tool it can be in the design process. Deep within the pages of Neufert and Architectural Graphic Standards lies the most important of architectural dimensions like: Kitchens: Bathrooms:

- 4. These books begin to inform us what are appropriate distances and acceptable minimums. As you can see in the bedroom image, Neufert tells us that there should be 75 cm between the bed and the surrounding walls, as well as 1 meter between the end of the bed and the closet. We are currently taking these dimensional minimums and applying them against MacArthurs house and Davids house. We will show the process of how we used this tool to help us understand how tight these houses are in comparison to Neufert and Architectural Graphic Standards. 1.
