This document outlines seven survival habits for life: 1) Be Proactive by taking initiative and responsibility for your life, 2) Begin with the End in Mind by defining goals and desired outcomes, 3) Put First Things First through effective prioritization and planning, 4) Think Win-Win by having an attitude where everyone can benefit, 5) Seek First to Understand by listening with empathy, 6) Synergize by working together to achieve more through valuing differences, and 7) Sharpen the Saw through achieving balance in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Examples are provided for how to apply each habit as a student and teacher.
