- 2. • For the title of our film we have used a simple font, the lettering is in capital letters which emphasizes the importance and we used a black and white match which is often used in thrillers. Here is an example:
- 3. In our opening sequence we use a lot of close ups which is a convection of thriller films. Close ups are used so that the audience can see the characters emotions and reactions. In this close up you can see that Anna's expression is one of anxiety like she is remembering a horrible incident.
- 4. • This mid-shot is a flashback that Anna is having whilst she is asleep. She is remembering what happened. In this shot Anna is running away from Jack. A reason why we used flashbacks in our opening sequence is because it is a convection of thriller genre.
- 5. • In this midshot Anna is walking down the stairs as there is someone at the door for her. She keeps getting flashbacks whilst walking down the stairs
- 6. • A convection of thriller genre is shadows and dark clothing to portray evil. That is what we have done in this mid shot, we have made Jacks character look threatening by filming in the evening so that there will be low-key lighting creating a shadow. Jack also wore dark colored clothing so it'll reflect on his dark personality.
- 7. • In this midshot you can see how the characters and producers are introduced, we used a fade in and out transition with the same font as the title which is a common technique in thriller films
- 8. • This over the shoulder shot is part of the flashback sequence we have blurred out the face of jack to create suspense.
- 9. • This mid-shot is also part of the flashback sequence. This is when Anna remembers when she threw the murder weapon in a shed in her garden
- 10. • This is our last shot, Anna remembers everything that happened and when she opens the door there is a detective for murder investigation in front of her. We finished with this particular shot to create suspense and to keep the audience interested
