This document discusses treatment for difficulty breathing. It outlines clearing the airway as the primary concern and using suctioning to ensure a clear airway. Head-tilt/chin-lift is the preferred method to open the airway, and OPAs and NPAs can help secure the airway at the BLS level. Oxygen administration via nasal cannula, non-rebreather mask, or BVM is emphasized for treatment of difficulty breathing along with medications, CPAP, or intubation as needed.
