A friend of Albert Peter Ssemakula (Our Co-founder) had leased Peters car to transport visitors around the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Uganda that year. The proposed vehicle driver pulled out at the last minute and Albert stepped in. What started as a one-day gig ended up spanning throughout CHOGM and after noticing a huge disconnect between the communities in the tourist hotspots in Uganda and the tourists, the idea of Alpha Adventure Safaris was conceived by Albert and his wife Nilly. In 2014, Alpha Adventure Safaris was officially registered as a tour operator and has since grown to provide tours in 4 countries and over 50 destinations involving more than 70 unique communities. OUR NAME The name Alpha Adventure Safaris was chosen because of the following reasons. The Alpha of a group is usually the strongest and most dominant individual. We at Alpha are continuously working to grow and maintain our position in the industry. We see ourselves and our team as industry leaders.
- 3. 2 The adventure part was chosen because we pride ourselves on providing unique tailor-made adventures on all our trips. Our activities are wide and varied ranging from quiet nature walks in pristine rural areas to the adrenaline rush of white water rafting on the Nile. Our agents are always up to the challenge of creating a new adventure just for you. The Safaris part emphasises our focus on the African experience. Our team is composed of locals who know the land intimately. Every team member was born and raised here.
