Mrs Noble led the P1-3 and the P4-7 Easter Assemblies in the Hall on the last day of term Thursday 24th March and wished everyone a safe and happy Easter holiday. Jane, Minister from St Catherine's of Argyll Church, talked about the symbol of the cross and what Easter means to Christians and Miss Dougal led the School Choir in a rousing rendtion of pupil penned "Come On and Sing With Me." P5 Play Squad pupils explained the new Small Play materials and how to look after them in the playground. P2 pupils Emma and Bella were congratulated on their £250 Make a Difference award winning dressing up box idea to tackle 1 in 5 Child Poverty. House Captains congratulated pupils on recent achievements and we gave a fond farewell to P7B pupil Alexandra who returns to Australia. Mrs Noble wished everyone a safe and happy holiday.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on MONDAY 11th APRIL.

With a background in projects spanning more than 40 years, Tim Lyons specialised in the delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplinary programmes for clients including Crossrail, Network Rail, ExxonMobil, Siemens and in patent development. His first career was in broadcasting, where he designed and built commercial radio station studios in Manchester, Cardiff and Bristol, also working as a presenter and programme producer. - 1. A day in the life of an Ashbridge pupil March 2014 By Amelia,Charlotte and Kiera
- 2. Early Years When you first start at Ashbridge you can either start at the Baby unit ,which is age 3 months to 2 years old, or start primary school at the age of 4 to 11. There are 6 classes in the baby unit, 9 in nursery and 7 classes in the school.
- 3. Friendship At Ashbridge we are all like a family. We are all friends and get along with one another. Even though last years year 6's have gone to High school and made new friends we still try to keep in touch.
- 4. Sport At Ashbridge we have lots of different sports such as football, netball, swimming, athletics, and different types of dance. Here are some of the pictures from some matches.
- 5. Music At the moment in Music we are practising a song for a performance at a High school called 'Penwortham Girls.' We are also preforming at a wedding. Some students are even playing musical instruments.
- 6. Animals The Animals we have at here are Chickens, Goats, Guinea pigs, Bunnies, Donkeys. There are some classes that have there own animals like YR2's American Giant Land Snails. Here is a picture of our donkeys
- 7. School Trips One of the most recent trips for year 6 who are going to London. We will be going into the house of Lords, the house of Commons, having a tour with the local MP, then going for lunch, after that taking a look around at the British Museum.
- 8. Lakeside Every 2 years the children from year 5/6 go to Lakeside. Every day you do an activity whether it is crawling through a muddy tunnel or cannoning from one side of a river to to the other. You are only at Lakeside for a week and on one of those days you are climbing up mount Coniston.
- 9. Outdoor Activities At Ashbridge we have a few forests which we let the children go in if they are being supervised by an adult. The year 6 and 5 children have been learning to light a fire with a flint and steel, working towards our forest award. They also learn how to use vital tools like a pen knife and a bow-saw. If were responsible enough, bypass loppers.
