Axl Rose is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses. He enjoyed great success with Guns N' Roses in the late 1980s and early 1990s with albums like Appetite for Destruction. However, he then disappeared from the public eye for several years. He later reemerged in 2001 with a new Guns N' Roses lineup and they have since toured periodically, finally releasing the long-delayed album Chinese Democracy in 2008.
