Program Aku Janji diadakan pada 21 Januari 2013 di SJKT Gelang Patah untuk memberi motivasi kepada murid Tahun 6 dan meningkatkan kerjasama antara ibu bapa dan sekolah dalam menghadapi peperiksaan UPSR. Program ini melibatkan pendaftaran peserta, ucapan, pembentangan, ikrar kecemerlangan, dan jamuan. Walaupun 70.37% kehadiran ibu bapa mencatatkan kerjasama yang positif, terdapat keperluan untuk penambahbaikan dalam kehadiran mereka pada masa akan datang.

SJk(c) Kwang Chien, yang ditubuhkan pada tahun 1927, merupakan salah satu sekolah rendah jenis kebangsaan Cina yang terbesar di Sarikei. Sekolah ini dilengkapi dengan pelbagai alatan ICT yang digunakan secara aktif dalam pentadbiran dan pengajaran, yang turut membantu meningkatkan keberkesanan proses pembelajaran. Misi sekolah adalah untuk menyediakan kurikulum dan kokurikulum yang cemerlang di dalam persekitaran yang kondusif.
