Pillsbury and Bimbo are two mascot characters used to promote baking companies. Pillsbury is Poppy Fresco, a doll made of dough created in 1965 by cartoonist Martin Nodell to represent the Pillsbury Company. Bimbo is a teddy bear dressed as a baker that was created in 1944 and modified from a postcard of a bear dressed as Santa Claus to become the mascot for Bimbo bakeries. While they look similar as chef-themed characters, Pillsbury is a comic character whereas Bimbo is based on an animal, and Bimbo wears an apron while Pillsbury wears a scarf.
