Grade 12 CAS Final Reflection Essay
Your involvement in the CAS programme is now coming to an end and has hopefully
inspired you to be a more active, principled and creative member of society. It has
hopefully also encouraged you to show compassion for others and urged you to
participate in activities that help others less fortunate than yourselves. In so doing,
perhaps you have gone at least some way towards creating a better world.
Remember All that we do is but a drop of water in the ocean. But if we didnt
contribute that drop there would be no water. Mother Theresa
Please explain how your CAS experiences have helped you to have a better
understanding of your own abilities and potential.
In which ways have you developed your own creative skills?
In which ways have you developed your own physical skills?
Have you developed a deeper understanding of global and international
issues?
Which of the learning outcomes (see attached) do you feel that you have
addressed most successfully throughout the course? Which activities or/and
experiences aided this?
Have your experiences led to you being more aware of the needs of your local
and the wider community?
Do you feel a greater personal commitment to serving the wider community?
Which activities or experiences did you enjoy most and why?
Which activities and experiences did you find most rewarding and why?
Which activities and experiences did you find most challenging and why?
Do you feel that your CAS experiences and activities have helped you to
become more inquisitive and/or more knowledgeable? If so are there
particular experiences that stand out?
As a result of CAS have you become a thinker or a better communicator?
Explain.
Which of the following best describes you: principled, open-minded, caring,
well-balanced or reflective? Has a particular CAS activity contributed to your
being this way?
Do you look at certain things in a different light or reflect on things in a
different way as a result of experiences you have had in CAS?
Have you been involved in any projects where you know that you have made
a positive difference to the life of another individual, group or community?
Of what that you have achieved throughout the CAS programme are you most
proud?
