Comfort & Convenience Insurance BRIEF CCTV OVERVIEW CCTV Surveillance System: The use of CCTV has become very common in banks, retail, high value retail stores to discourage theft, by recording evidence of criminal activity. CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) is a visual surveillance technology designed for monitoring a variety of environments and activities. CCTV systems typically involve a fixed (or "dedicated") communications link between cameras and monitors. The modern CCTV system involves a linked system of cameras with full pan, tilt, and zooms able to be operated remotely from a control room. CCTV equipment may be used to observe parts of a process from a Central Control Room.
