CORNISH NIPPER CHAMPS EVENT INFO Apologies, I have been on duty so have not had a chance to send the children and you the information by post for this weekend's Cornish Nipper event which your child/children have entered. Please meet us at Portreath Beach, on the beach at 8.30am. Races start at 9 am Look out for the Club Flag where we will make base! Be prepared to be at the beach until at least 5pm each day. Nippers Important & essential things to remember: • Club Hat….very importantClub costume/trunks or the same in black please. • Silcone swim hat and goggles if you want to wear them but must be UNDER club hat. • Safety Vest AND Yellow club rash vest if you have one. • Only cossies/trunks/jammers or lycra fitted shorts are allowed for beach events, No baggies or boardies for this. • Warm clothes/tracksuits for waiting around & at least 2 towels • Suncreamand waterproof coat • Plenty of drinks and snacks to keep you full of energy. • Trainers or Wetsuit shoes in case the Sprint arena is stony….the Referee will decide on the day Info for Parents We have been asked to provide at least 4 helpers so parents if you have a wetsuit and can help in the water that is fantastic. If you are a land-lubber then there are plenty of things that the organisers need help with such as place judges. Please let us know what you want to do on the day, but come prepared to help……Clint and myself are Team Managers and need as much help as possible! • A Park and Ride will be available to ensure adequate parking for everyone at Gwel An Moor resort above Portreath Beach, mini buses will be available and the resort is only a 5 minute walk from the beach. • Portaloos will be on the club car park as in previous National competitions. • Breakfast will be available from 7.30am before the competition. • Food and drinks will be available in the clubhouse Nearest campsite at Cambrose www.cambrosetouringpark.co.uk Tel.no. 01209 890747. • Please remember to bring the entry if you have not yet paid it (£10) Any questions or lifts needed please call me 07779292495 Spike On behalf of Perranporth SLSC
