- 4. THEMES AND INTERPRETATION ? The title of the photograph, Fly into Forever, was chosen to add a surreal meaning. (No initial Meaning) ? Tonal Effect, and auto enhance from phone gives depth and shadow to Algae. ? Light Reflection of sun on surface of water. ? The photograph is supposes to give a surreal feeling that anything is possible with imagination.

- 6. BACKGROUND, TECHNIQUE, AND MEDIA ? Born in Figueres, Spain in 1904, Salvador Dali had many influences throughout his life, including names such as Pablo Picasso(though they met in Paris). ? His style for most of his life was a Surreal style, though he did use Impressionism, Futurism, and Cubism. ? In his later life he took on a more advanced style he called “Nuclear Mysticism,” where he would incorporate optical illusion, holography, and divine geometry into his work. ? Salvador Dali used a wide array of media, but in Celestial Ride he used Oil on Canvas that allowed him to get the detail he needs in his dreamlike work.

Dali’s Surrealistic style was the perfect style to compare to Fly into Forever. Although Celestial Ride & Fly into Forever did not have specific meaning, meaning can be derived from the symbols in the pieces. ? Both pieces have great detail and shadow in the shapes and creatures, and both creatures seem to have a sense of direction. ? The subject matter of both pieces is obvious, but further observance on each piece will require some phenomenology.
