Ian is a Functional Lead and Solution Architect with a proven track record having contributed to a large number of Oracle E-Business Suite projects within blue-chip organisations world- wide, including implementations, upgrades and rollouts. His current engagement is with DHL/NHS Supply Chain initially as Functional Lead for an R12.1.3 implementation of GL, AP, AR, PO, INV, OAC, ebTAX and CE, where he was instrumental in ensuring the successful go-live. This encompassed all features of the R12 architecture and RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions and Extensions). Ian was additionally responsible for the implementation of EiS eXpress Reporting, a reporting tool that is fully integrated with the Oracle E-Business Suite. Following the implementation Ian has remained with DHL/NHS Supply Chain as Head of Applications, responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement through the use of Oracle E-Business Suite. This has encompassed a large number of enhancements and further integrations including a successful upgrade and migration of the underlying hardware, OS and DB. His previous engagement was with GE Capital as Conversion Lead where he was responsible for the conversion of their Spanish Leasing portfolio into Oracle Lease and Finance Management (OLFM) R11.5.10. Ian was also responsible for designing the conversion processes utilizing his knowledge of OLFM and its supporting modules across all KBF’s. During his time with De Lage Landen, a global leasing company and subsidiary of Rabobank, Ian was responsible for the configuration validation (BR100s) of a large number of modules, defect analysis, resolution and subsequent re-design. Furthermore, Ian was a key member of the European design team, providing business process analysis and re-engineering across their 14 European country leasing operations. Utilising his Six Sigma experience and industry knowledge he advised on the transformation of the existing As-Is processes into industry leading standardized and optimized To-Be processes. This provided the definition for the Global OLFM based solution and the first European deployment. Prior to this Ian was with GE European Equipment Finance where he was the Functional Team Lead for the Application to Booking (ATB) Key Business Flow. This included responsibility for the integration between the Contract Originations System and Oracle Lease Management. He gained extensive knowledge across the whole product, ranging from configurations required to support Accounting Template processes to interaction with the Legacy Extranet Systems. In addition to this, Ian designed and tested numerous extensions to the OLFM product to ensure that the Client requirements were met. This involved close management of offshore resources and Oracle to ensure that all design concepts were clearly understood. Other projects include Ford Motor Company (including Jaguar and Volvo) where he worked on Accounts Payables 11i, integrated with Purchasing 11i and SSP5. Ian has worked on implementing Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR, CA, FA) 11.03 on a pan-European basis for GE Capital and Avis Fleet Services, involved with Euro Compliance and the development of standard financial processes across Europe. Prior to project implementation roles, Ian has worked in Financial Accountant, Group Accountant and Finance Manager Roles. Commercially aware and supported by well developed inter-personal skills, Ian is an effective communicator, able to work at all levels, both as a team player and when working on his own initiative. He is fully conversant with all elements of a project life-cycle, from RFP, Requirements analysis etc through to subsequent test and stabilization.
