WORKING PRINCIPLE OF DC GENERATOR
A generator is a device that convert Mechanical energy into electrical energy using electromagnetic induction.
A DC generator produces direct power based on fundamental principle of Faraday's laws of electromagnetic induction.
According to this laws, Whenever a conductor is moved within a magnetic field in such a way that the conductor cuts across magnetic lines of flux, voltage is generated in the conductor.

When current passes through series connected windings then adjacent poles attain opposite polarity

This is the rotating part of the machine
It is a cylindrical structure with slots around its outer periphery.
It houses conductors in the slots.

With a background in projects spanning more than 40 years, Tim Lyons specialised in the delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplinary programmes for clients including Crossrail, Network Rail, ExxonMobil, Siemens and in patent development. His first career was in broadcasting, where he designed and built commercial radio station studios in Manchester, Cardiff and Bristol, also working as a presenter and programme producer. Tim now writes and presents extensively on matters relating to the human and neurological aspects of projects, including communication, ethics and coaching. - 3. DC MOTOR A motor is an electrical machine which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The principle of working of a DC motor is that "whenever a current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field, it experiences a mechanical force". The direction of this force is given by Flemings Left Hand Rule
