? Jainism is one of the oldest religion
of the world.
? It have 24 Tirthankaras.
? The First Jain Tirthankar is known as
Aadinath Swami or Lord Rishabhnath
? Earlier Jainism was confined to a small
region of India, but now its concepts
and ethical literature is spread all over
the world due to online availability over
internet via digital Jain e-libraries.
? ICT and other social media have
increased the boundaries of Jainism
from local to global and accessibility
from anywhere at any time.

? The role of Jain digital e-library
(www.jainelibrary.com or Jainelibrary.org ) and
the International Digambar Jain Organisation
(www.idjo.org ), institutional website, Religious
TV Channels and Social media are contributing
in the promotion of Jainism.
? The Jain literature spread over 100 countries in
the world through Internet-based resources.

? Religious Saint/ Monk/ Muni/ Sadhus
and their followers are having websites
as well as social media account for
communication to individual and
masses. It may be website, mobile
phone, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Wikis,
You tube, etc.
Why Digital Libraries?
? Online digital resources increase the
efficiency of users to access more
resources.
? Digitalization of resources is a step to
preserve rich cultural heritage and vast
knowledge treasure for coming
generations.
? To cope up with the information needs
with speed and relative accuracy and
reliability, the digital library is the most
important and reliable solution.

Technologies (ICT) transforms the
activities and services of libraries from
manual system to digital information
