- 2. Shoes4Kids Shoes4Kids is about serving the underprivileged and underserved child and their families by providing them with a new, brand name pair of athletic shoes. Shoes4Kids mission is to make a difference in the life and health of our children 1) by making sure they have shoes that fit and 2) promoting and encouraging the benefits of exercise.
- 3. Dover Elementary School Dover Elementary School is within Hillsborough County Public School System (Tampa, FL). Dover was selected because if it’s high in population of students on free/reduce lunch; migrant students, homeless students, head start pre-k students, students w/disabilities, traditional students, and students in need.

Willis Peters Exceptional Center Young children with Autism, Deaf-Blindness, Deafness, Hearing Impairments, Language or Speech Impairment, Limited Intellectual Functioning, Visual Impairments, Multiple Disabilities, Other Health Impairments receive their education at Willis Peters Exceptional Center located next to Dover Elementary.
- 26. Over 100 students ranging from pre-k age 4 through 2nd grade received new athletic shoes during our Shoes4Kids (S4K) visit. Shoes4Kids also left behind over 200 pairs of new athletic shoes to serve the needs of children who will be attending Dover Elementary Fall 2012.
- 27. A Note of Appreciation Mr. Thuringer, It was such a pleasure to meet you and the Shoe Crew!!! Not only did our children enjoy this wonderful experience, but staff was so impressed by the positive spirit and teamwork displayed by your volunteers! It takes special people to come together to serve those less fortunate and Dover feels quite blessed to have been chosen this year. Thanks again for assisting our children and allowing us to keep shoes to serve many more. May God bless you and continue to guide you in this wonderful journey!
