Razlozi za uvođenje državne mature ★ Postojeći maturski i prijemni ispiti nisu standardizovani ni u jednom svom aspektu ★ Polaganje prijemnih ispita na VŠU primorava kandidate da donesu odluku gde će da konkurišu pre nego što znaju da li imaju dovoljno bodova ★ Polaganje prijemnog diskriminiše kandidate koji žive daleko od univerzitetskih centara ★ Upis na VŠU je ocenjen kao segment obrazovanja sa vrlo izraženom korupcijom ★ Država nema mehanizam objektivne procene znanja na kraju SŠ

- #2: Mnogo kasnimo. Svi drugi je već odavno imaju. Toliko kasnimo da već sad možemo komotno da učimo na tuđim greškama.
- #4: Dok god se VŠU finansiraju prema broju studenata, prijemni ispiti će - u većini slučajeva - biti farsa! Gimnazije su najzapušteniji deo sistema.
- #5: Postojeći predlog koncepta je teško ostvariv. Nema potrebe da komplikujemo sa ulogom državnih institucija. Tunel može da se buši sa dve strane istovremeno.
- #6: Dobra strana upisa u srednje škole je lista želja.
- #8: Razdvajanje sertifikaciono-evaluacionog i selekcionog dela ispita. Program državne mature mora da bude ograničen po sadržaju i nivou znanja onim što je predviđeno nastavnim programom i obrazovnim standardima.
