The document provides guidance on how to conduct research, including focusing on the topic, skimming sources, using tables of contents and indexes, taking relevant notes, summarizing information for others, citing sources properly, and respecting copyright laws. It also discusses using databases as credible sources of information and how to format citations for different source types such as books and databases.
This document outlines the parts and process for a 6th grade research paper on a historical, mathematical, or scientific event. It includes an introduction, outline, paper, works cited page, and optional presentation. Students are instructed to brainstorm topics, get approval on their top choices, find sources, create an outline and note cards, write a draft, add citations, edit the paper, and optionally include pictures in their presentation. The goal is for students to research and present an important event to the class in 3 to 5 minutes.
This document outlines the key parts of a research paper, including the title page, abstract, introduction, area of focus, related literature review, research questions, data analysis and interpretation, interpretation of data, action plan, and recommendations. The abstract provides a brief summary of the research. The introduction gives context and background. The area of focus describes who will benefit from the study. The literature review covers related published materials. The research questions reflect the problem being studied. Data analysis and interpretation examine the data both quantitatively and qualitatively. The interpretation of data establishes connections between findings and previous literature. The action plan describes the problem, design, and findings. Finally, recommendations are based on the conclusions and suggest further studies.
This document provides a 10 step guide for writing a research paper with ease. The steps include: thinking of a topic and questions, finding sources, reading sources and taking notes, brainstorming the structure, writing a thesis statement, drafting an introduction, writing the body in paragraphs with cited sources, drafting a conclusion, compiling a works cited page, and proofreading for spelling and grammar. Following these steps will help the writer organize their ideas and research into a well-written paper.
The document outlines the typical structure and components of a research paper, including an introduction with background and statement of the problem, literature review, methodology, results and data analysis, conclusions and recommendations. It describes the purpose and content that should be included in each chapter and section, such as defining terms, describing the research method and subjects, presenting and interpreting findings, and summarizing conclusions. Proper formatting of references, tables, figures and appendices is also addressed. The overall structure and guidelines provided are meant to help write and organize a research paper in a clear, systematic manner.

Social networks and online platforms are increasingly important sources of scientific information and knowledge sharing. Open access repositories, science blogs, and the free availability of scholarly articles online allow scientific findings to be more easily discovered and disseminated. Comments, discussions, and engagement from readers on blogs and other science-focused websites also contribute to the spread and evolution of scientific knowledge.

The document discusses the critical need for open access to medical information in Serbia, particularly for healthcare providers and patients. It highlights a case report involving infants with hyponatremia and hyperkalemia, ultimately diagnosed with transient pseudohypoaldosteronism due to urinary tract infections. The document also addresses the hepatotoxicity risks associated with propylthiouracil (PTU) in children and recommends careful consideration of its use.

The document discusses the changing role of medical libraries and librarians. It notes that medical libraries now provide scientific information online through medical databases, e-books, and open access resources available on the internet. Librarians are adapting to new technologies by using tools like blogs, podcasts, videos, and social media to share information more easily and attractively. Librarians are also taking on more of an educational role in teaching medical professionals and students how to effectively search and retrieve information from online medical resources.
ROLE OF LIBRARIAN IN HEALTH CARE INSTITUTIONSAnaivko
油
Librarians play an increasingly important role in healthcare institutions by searching relevant literature for clinicians. While clinicians can research themselves using online databases, many lack the skills, time or access to consistently find the best evidence. When librarians assisted with searches, they were able to solve 84% of clinicians' requests by accessing medical databases and selecting the most appropriate literature. While online information is abundant, clinicians require training on effective search strategies and using the best evidence in practice to provide successful patient treatment.
KAKO JA BIRAM ASOPIS U KOJI OBJAVLJUJEM NAUNI RADAnaivko

The main goal of publication is to make the results of an investigation visible and accessible to as large an audience as possible. Thus a scientist contributes to the advance of science and to the advance of his/her carrier as well. The carrier of a scientist heavily depends on both quantity and quality of his/her publications. Although the quality is difficult to evaluate, the impact factor of the journal in which publication seems to be, in spite of some pitfalls, an adequate measure. Therefore, it is important to publish in journals covered by databases such as the Science Citation Index (SCI). Our Ministry of Science also relies on this scientometric parameter when evaluating the authors impact; however, it does not value the publications in national journals, regardless their covering in other important databases such as PubMed/MEDLINE. Because of that, our authors hesitate to publish in such journals. Therefore, the submission rate of national journals is steadily decreasing, which makes these journals in peril to disappear from scientific publishing. Since some of these journals are of very long tradition, this would be a very unfortunate fate. Both our Ministry of science and editors should find the means how to attract the authors to publish quality science in national journals. This is the only way to include these journals in important databases, which should in due course raise the submission rate and consequently improve the impact of both the journals and their authors the goal of each and every scientist and editor.

The Matica Srpska Library (MSL) Reference Centre in Novi Sad and the University Library Svetozar Markovic in Belgrade do citation of papers of researchers on the territory of Serbia, for individuals as well as for institutions. MSL possesses the most complete collection of the Science Citation Indexes. For the natural sciences it has the printed edition (SCI Printed Edition) for the period 1945-1979 and compact disc edition (SCI CD) for the period 1980-2003. These two editions contain over 3,700 journal titles. On KoBSON site online database, Web of Science (SCI Expanded) has 6,700 journal titles for the period 2000-today. The project named Citation Research of Scientific Workers of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina was being done from 2005 to 2006. The research was done using the electronic database of the workers collected by the Provincial Secretariat for Science Technological Development which also financed the project.. Papers of 2,326 scientific workers from all scientific fields were searched, and 2004 was the last year. On the basis of these researches, all numerous data about citations and selfcitations are saved on a compact disc. From the Medical faculty (Novi Sad) 409 scientific workers were investigated, and the total number was 1,565 (1,473 citations and 152 selfcitations). Due to this project Reference Centre has all data about citation of papers for all the researches, and 2004 was the last year. This paper gives information about citation in Science Citation Index to users as well as the results of the citation of papers for the physicians of the Institute of Oncology in Sremska Kamenica.

Assessment of citation-based research quality is an issue which has increasingly interested scientific and professional organizations, as well as the concerned Ministries of the Government of Serbia. Citation count is widely used in evaluating the importance and impact of the authors work on other authors in the country and abroad. In order to find out how often their published papers have been cited, researches turn to citation tracking tools: abstracting and indexing databases, as well as other electronic sources of information. After citation data tracking, authors need to exclude the overlapping citations and summarize the total number of citations. This paper reviews the following options for citation tracking (both multiple authors and self-citations): Web of Science, Scopus, Scindex, SocioFact, Google Book, Google Scholar, and Google. There is, unfortunately, no easy way for citation tracking of non-electronic resources. That is why researchers also need to search printed publications, to find if their work was cited, or other authors need to inform them about citing their publications. Not all citations are equal: the top citations are presented and ranked in the Web of Science; it means that they were published in journals with an impact factor which are included in the ISI list. There are several types of citations, as well as different aspects and reasons for citation. One must not forget that, apart from citations, scientometry provides other criteria for assessing research quality, and they should be given a proper place in evaluation of research performance. In recent years, an increasing number of our authors have published their papers in journals with an impact factor. In this way, results of research in our country are available to the world, and the chance to find publications of authors from Serbia cited in the worlds leading citation databases is much higher.
