Kacie Fischer was the first woman to inline skate across the United States in 2012 despite having heart failure, a condition where the heart cannot pump enough blood to the body's organs. Although she had this serious heart condition, she did not give up and became the first woman to cross the United States while living with heart failure. Heart failure makes physical exertion over long distances very challenging due to inadequate blood flow, yet Kacie persevered and accomplished this impressive feat.
