Kuokkalan koulu has four school periods per year that run from August to early June, followed by a summer holiday of two and a half months. Students have about six 45-minute lessons per day covering subjects like art, Finnish, math, English, history, Swedish, PE, science, home economics, and more. They study things like Finnish and world history, career guidance, cooking, biology of lakes and insects, human anatomy, and introductory Swedish. Students have options to choose between art and crafts classes in later grades, as well as music and specialized PE courses. The school day includes a free 30-minute lunch in the cafeteria and a 15-minute snack recess.
