Alan Turing arguably wrote the first paper on formal methods 75 years ago. Since then, there have been claims and counterclaims about formal methods. Tool development has been slow but aided by Moore¡¯s Law with the increasing power of computers. Although formal methods are not widespread in practical usage at a heavyweight level, their influence as crept into software engineering practice to the extent that they are no longer necessarily called formal methods in their use. In addition, in areas where safety and security are important, with the increasing use of computers in such applications, formal methods are a viable way to improve the reliability of such software-based systems. Their use in hardware where a mistake can be very costly is also important. This talk explores the journey of formal methods to the present day and speculates on future directions.

- 2. My school year We have four periods at one school year. Our school starts in August and it ends in the beginning of June. We have two and half months summer holiday I have about six lessons a day. One lesson is 45 minutes long. I have art, Finnish, maths, English, History, Swedish, PE, health science, home economics, student councellor, Biology and geography, handcraft, physics and chemistry, RE and music.
- 3. Art & Handcraft Two hours art and three hours handcraft a week. At seventh grade you can choose if you want study art and handcraft at 8. and 9. grade.
- 5. History & guidance counselor's lesson History we study Northern countries and Finlands history Guidance counsellor tells us about high schools and working life.
- 6. Finnish language and maths Three hours a week of both. We read books, we do mindmaps, we study writing and reading. At maths we just studied primenumbers.

- 8. Home economics We study cleaning, cooking, washing laundry and dishes and healthy eating. Last week we cooked potatoes and meat sauce, vegetable salad and berry dessert.

- 11. Biology & Geography and Health Science Half year of biology and half year geography. Biology we have lakes and insects Health science we study human's body, PE. We also study human's psychology
- 12. Swedish Finland has two official languages; Finnish and Swedish At 7th grade you start studing first steps of Swedish. God Dag! Tack! Jag heter ...
- 13. Physics & Chemistry & ADP Half and Half year physics and chemistry We study elements and we do cemical tests every lesson. You don't have to study ADP if you don't want to.
- 14. PE & Music Two hours a week of both of them. You can choose music and some different courses about PE for 8 th and 9 th grade.
- 15. English Two hours a week We study different words, we do exercises and we study grammar.
- 16. School cafeteria & snack recess We have a free lunch every day. The lunch hour is 30 minutes long. The food is good. We always have salad. Snack recess is 15minutes long. Snacks are very healty and for example a roll costs 80cent (about 1dollar) Fruits, juice, hot chocolate, rolls, yoghurt.
