After completing their preliminary task, the students learned several skills that helped them improve their full opening sequence product. They learned about different camera shots and editing techniques in Final Cut Express by practicing on their preliminary task. They also learned the importance of proper planning, communication, and assigning roles for directing and writing. Creating a storyboard helped make their opening sequence more successful. The weaknesses they identified in the preliminary task, such as lack of skills and communication, were not issues in the final product due to what they learned.
