There will be two exams this year, a Half Yearly Exam in October and an Annual Exam in April, replacing the usual three exams. Each exam will have a written and oral component, with the written section worth 75 marks (25 for short questions and 50 for essays) and the oral worth 25 marks (10 for MCQs, 5 for a viva, and 10 for observation and chapter tests). The Half Yearly Exam and Annual Exam will each be out of 100 marks, for a total of 200 marks. Students need a minimum of 70 marks in each subject to be promoted to the next class.

In this slide try to present the brief history of Chaulukyas of Gujrat up to Kumarpala To keep the facts in a natural form and to display the material in more detail, the help of various books, websites and online medium has been taken. Whatever medium the material or facts have been taken from, an attempt has been made by the presenter to give their reference at the end.
Chaulukya or Solanki was one of the Rajputs born from Agnikul. In the Vadnagar inscription, the origin of this dynasty is told from Brahma's Chauluk or Kamandalu. They ruled in Gujarat from the latter half of the tenth century to the beginning of the thirteenth century. Their capital was in Anahilwad. It is not certain whether it had any relation with the Chalukya dynasty of the south or not. It is worth mentioning that the name of the dynasty of the south was 'Chaluky' while the dynasty of Gujarat has been called 'Chaulukya'. - 1. New Exam Pattern 2009-10 There would be two Exams instead of three this year- Half Yearly Exam and The Annual Exam The Half Yearly Exam-To be conducted in October. The Annual Exam -To be conducted in April. Distribution of Marks: There would be two types of Exams for every subject-WRITTEN and ORAL WRITTEN 75 Marks (25 marks objective questions/one word answers type questions and 50 marks essay type questions) ORAL 25 Marks For the Oral exam 10 marks for MCQs 5 marks viva (course related) 10 marks overall observation of the child plus chapter wise test. Half Yearly Exam 100 marks Annual Exams 100 marks Total 200 marks For promotion to the next class a student needs to score a minimum of 70 marks out of 200 in each subject.
