plants. The theme for this

that humans depend on food

earth receives sufficient
amounts of nutrient-rich
food on a regular basis. They
also learned importance of
fruits for our body and how
they aid in overall health

Kwality Wall Desserts of
different flavors via this
students understood the
production process, products
and operation of the one of
the best examples of
cooperative achievement in
the developing economy.

celebrated under a specific theme.
The theme of previous year's
Nutrition Week was 'Feeding
Smart Right.' The theme of
National Nutrition Week 2022 is

The purpose is to motivate people
to have healthy nutrition while
enjoying the flavours of food.
The weeks main objective is to
raise awareness about the
importance of healthy eating
habits.
The National Nutrition week 2022
Department of Nutrition and
Dietetics organised an intra-
department quiz competition among
the students, A Guest lecture on
Functional medicine approach, by
Dt. Manveen Kaur Bajaj, and A
Panel Discussion on Sustainable
Nutrition and Holistic Health. The
students learned the importance of
Nutrition and Health.

feeding Week

World Breastfeeding week
2022 was celebrated to focus
on achieving the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs)
for maternal and child health,
non-communicable diseases,
nutrition, education, poverty
inclusive economic growth,
and reducing inequalities
through the three pillars to
increase breastfeeding i.e:.
Protection, Promotion and
Support of Breastfeeding.
A number of activities were organised
such as Slogan/Poster making
competition, Guest Lecture by Dr.
Darshana and Dt. Navneet Kaur Sodhi,
Diet Counselling/Awareness camp at
college campus and a Rural visit
(Awareness Campaign). The students
learned to protect and promote
breastfeeding as the optimal way for
babies to be fed. Furthermore, it also
strives to utilize breastfeeding programs
to improve maternal health, which can
have a positive effect on the global
health community.

  • 13. Department Activities Department has organized two industrial visits one was in Permashwari silk in Ludhiana and second one was in Vardhman Pvt. Ltd in Baddi Industrial Visit Objective Outcomes Industrial visits provide the students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. It gives the students an exposure to current work practices as opposed to theoretical knowledge being taught at their college classrooms The students gained knowledge about the weaving process. All the techniques of the weaving ,printing and yarn formation. The interactions with the experts, technicians, and industry associates, groom the students in developing interpersonal skills.

Healthy Pizza Making Activity Objective Outcomes The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics conducted cooking activity for students wherein nutrition professionals and students have found an unapologetic option for Pizza cravings. The students prepared a Novel, healthy and more traditional form of Pizza which was gluten-free and without cheese, without compromising on the flavor. This activity not just helped students gain practical skills but also enhanced nutritional knowledge.

  • 23. Expert Lecture on PCOD Objective Outcomes The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organised an expert lecture on PCOD. The purpose of which was to educate students about the PCOD problems in girls/women. The keynote speaker Dr. Bhanu Malhotra (MBBS, MD, DM Endocrinology) discussed innumerable health complications occurring in all aging periods (Teenage, pregnancy, and postmenopausal) in a very brief manner.

  • 25. World Food Day Objective Outcomes The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrated the occasion of World Food Day 2022 by planting the fruit based plants. The theme for this year was WORLD FOOD DAY: LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND The students learned the fact that humans depend on food their survival, so it is important that everyone on earth receives sufficient amounts of nutrient-rich food on a regular basis. They also learned importance of fruits for our body and how they aid in overall health enhancement.

Industrial Visit Objective Outcomes The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organised an Industrial visit to Hindustan Unilever Limited, Nalagarh factory, HP (One of the most renowned Multinational Industries in India) to acquire the knowledge about the production line. During the visit, students visited and analyzed the production process of Kwality Wall Desserts of different flavors via this students understood the production process, products and operation of the one of the best examples of cooperative achievement in the developing economy.

  • 29. National Nutrition Week Objective Outcomes National Nutrition Week is celebrated under a specific theme. The theme of previous year's Nutrition Week was 'Feeding Smart Right.' The theme of National Nutrition Week 2022 is 'Celebrate a World of Flavours.' The purpose is to motivate people to have healthy nutrition while enjoying the flavours of food. The weeks main objective is to raise awareness about the importance of healthy eating habits. The National Nutrition week 2022 Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organised an intra- department quiz competition among the students, A Guest lecture on Functional medicine approach, by Dt. Manveen Kaur Bajaj, and A Panel Discussion on Sustainable Nutrition and Holistic Health. The students learned the importance of Nutrition and Health.

World Breast- feeding Week Objective Outcomes World Breastfeeding week 2022 was celebrated to focus on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, nutrition, education, poverty inclusive economic growth, and reducing inequalities through the three pillars to increase breastfeeding i.e:. Protection, Promotion and Support of Breastfeeding. A number of activities were organised such as Slogan/Poster making competition, Guest Lecture by Dr. Darshana and Dt. Navneet Kaur Sodhi, Diet Counselling/Awareness camp at college campus and a Rural visit (Awareness Campaign). The students learned to protect and promote breastfeeding as the optimal way for babies to be fed. Furthermore, it also strives to utilize breastfeeding programs to improve maternal health, which can have a positive effect on the global health community.
