Accommodation in Everest Base Camp trek is mostly in teahouses located along the route. Actually, they are small lodges owned and managed by local Sherpas. Moreover rooms usually have basic beds, blankets, and sometimes a heater. However, rooms are cold at higher altitudes due to thin walls. For example, in Namche Bazaar at 3,440 meters, teahouses are good and well-decorated. But the higher you go, like in Dingboche at 4,410 meters, facilities are basic.
