and one of the UK’s most respected manufacturers in its sector,
holding a third of the Scottish market.
With a strong reputation for quality and innovation,
Collingwood’s client continues to expand, having secured an
exceptionally healthy forward order book. Currently generating
?65 million in revenue, they expect to grow to ?68 million this
year.
Operating across sites in Perthshire and to the east of Glasgow,
Collingwood’s client employs 300 staff and works with over 100
subcontractors at any given time. To meet increasing demand,
they has invested in additional manufacturing facilities over the
past three years.
Over the past two years, they were acquired by the largest
collective manufacturer within its industry in Europe. The
company is now part of a strategic growth plan, with the aim of
doubling in turnover. This marks an exciting new chapter,
strengthening its position as a market leader.
Due to our client's Finance Director retiring after over 16 years of
service, Collingwood’s client requires a successor to integrate
into the board and help continue to drive the financial strategy
and overall growth.

Summary of Role:
? You’ll play a pivotal role in the manufacturer's expansion, driving financial strategy and operational excellence as the
company scales beyond ?68m turnover. With strong backing from a European powerhouse, you'll be at the forefront
of business transformation, acquisitions, and financial innovation
? As a key member of the executive team, you'll lead a high performing finance function, oversee multi million-pound
budgets, and engage with top level stakeholders, including the wider groups leadership. You'll have the opportunity to
streamline processes, enhance working capital efficiency, and implement cutting edge financial systems
? This role isn’t just about numbers, it’s about leadership, problem solving, and strategic influence. You’ll shape business
performance, develop rising talent within the finance team, and work on high profile projects, from integrating a new
ERP system to navigating a major banking transition

KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory
authorities (HMRC, Companies House) and adherence to group
accounting policies
Act as a key executive team member, driving business performance and
supporting decision making
Lead the preparation of monthly management reports, annual budgets,
and forecast updates with direct communication with the group’s CFO
based in mainland Europe
Ensure sufficient liquidity for operations while optimising interest
income and managing cash flow to meet KPIs
Implement and maintain strong internal controls, oversee cost control
measures, and manage credit control functions
Provide financial data for statutory audits, tax returns, VAT filings, and
R&D tax credit applications
Oversee IT functions, ensure data protection compliance, and manage
the organisation’s Responsible Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Manage company insurance policies, oversee claims, liaise with bankers,
and ensure proper property lease management

CANDIDATE
PROFILE
________

In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting, budgeting and
auditing principles and procedures in a similar senior level post
Experience of leading and developing a high performing Finance team
Confident, self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
and encourage/develop others
Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills to take an active
role in the Executive team
Ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance managers
Commercial acumen in areas of improving business performance at both
strategic and operational levels
Good judgement, showing logical decision making and critical thinking
skills (for example, when putting together capital expenditure reports to
the parent group)
Proven ability to partner with internal and external customers, partners
and stakeholders in a manner that results in mutually positive outcomes
and credibility. Influences with impact
Interest and awareness of new data technologies, capabilities, practices in
relation to Finance and reporting
