The 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake produced 635 horsepower and 581 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on a dyno, equivalent to around 750 horsepower at the crank. In acceleration tests, the Super Snake pulled ahead of the regular GT500 after 80 mph due to its higher horsepower. However, the Super Snake struggled for traction off the line and handled worse than the GT500 in figure eight and skidpad tests due to its heavier weight.
