This document summarizes a product prototype that uses radio frequency identification (RFI) technology. The prototype can track ridership, student attendance, manage assets, control access, enable cafeteria payments, and handle emergencies. Potential customers expressed interest in the asset management features but some requested a proof of concept due to concerns about cost compared to barcode-based solutions. Most customers were decision makers at nursery, primary, secondary, or university schools.

Observations The customer understands the functions of the product that can help them meet their needs. The customers have the tendency to compare the product with a cheaper solution for asset management (e.g bar code based solution) We had to insist on the specific features of the RFI (real time management). Some customers would like to have a Proof Of Concept. We learnt that most of the school are interested by the asset management feature.
