Hero: Master of Two Worlds Hero knows the rules of the Ordinary and Supernatural Worlds, can go between them Hero might need to go on another journey after returning Hero has been freed from fears, can live unafraid of death Living in the moment: not anticipating the future or regretting the past For humans: balance between material (physical) and spiritual (mental)
Mulan Journey/Goal: Prove herself to her family, save her father Didnt fit into typical womans role in her Ordinary World Disguised herself as a man and went into the army Ended up saving China and the emperor
Be looking for Group 1: The Return: How does the acceptance or rejection of the Hero work? Group 2: Sharing of Boon/Elixir: what is it, and how does the Ordinary World receive it? Group 3: Master of Two Worlds: How is Mulans family different than her: are they able to interact with the Supernatural World in the way she does?
